FITTLE  +  yahoo  japan

Fittle and Yahoo Japan Sawareru project have collaborated to offer the joy of visual perception for children with visual disabilities.

Sawareru has installed special machines in schools for the blind in Japan. A child can look up a word through voice input, and what s/he gets in return is a 3D printed model of the object. As we develop more and more Fittles, they will continue to be added to their repository. So, when a child searches for the word fish, s/he gets the fish 3d printed Fittle to play with. S/he can play with the fish puzzle, learn the spelling of the word, and also feel the shape of a fish!
